Clogged Toilets
Stuck with a clogged toilet? You can typically unclog it using a plunger. Simply press the plunger into place over the drain hole and push down firmly to create a tight seal. Next, you can pump the plunger up and down rapidly, which should help push the clog through the system.
You'll know you've been successful when the toilet drains on its own. Be sure not to flush the toilet again, as this could cause the basin to overflow.
Drain Clogs
If your sink or shower isn't draining properly, there is likely a clog in the pipe. You may be able to fish small surface clogs out using a drain cleaning tool; many hardware stores sell these for just a few dollars.
Please refrain from using caustic drain cleaners to remove the clog, as these could damage your plumbing system.
